Hi all just refitting my forks and it occurred to me that the previous owner probably had a fiddle ( the top yoke was mounted a few mm high for a start) the service manual i have only has entires for the showa forks, can someone confirm the stock fork position (i.e. distance from bottom yoke to top of for tube for the Ohlins forks on a 2008 1098s) @andyb i seem to remember you are the man on this topic thanks ali
I've got the forks documented as sitting 15mm proud of the yoke. I think its the third grooved ring in the fork is flush with the yoke
You can down load the complete workshop manual here Ducati 1098 2007 service manual workshop service manual, free download! I think the bits you want are here:
cheers jock thanks peter, i already have that manual but its very patchy and i don't trust the info tbh also i think there are different settings for the 1098s ohlins forks vs showas on the stock 1098 (although i could be wrong)
Doh! Sorry didn't read your post properly! Yes agreed it only shows the Showa forks for the height setting, but they go to the trouble of stating both the Showa and Ohlins spec at the front of the manual so perhaps the fork height is commmon to both types ... that said never assume anything!
Hello, I'm new to this forum with a 2001 600 monster with Showa non adjustable forks. I've been trying , unsuccessful to find the correct height out of the top yoke please? My manual shows Marzochhi only. Any ideas please?
I think you would be better starting a new thread in the Technical area as this one related to 1098 rather than Monster 600.
