  1. Hi all,

I have the opportunity to purchase a friends 1098s and I wanted to know if this was a good price.

2008/08 plate 1098s with 11,000 miles 2 previous owners in Red, FSH, belts recently done and just had a new MOT. It also has LeoVince exhaust system and its a mint bike.

    Thanks

    Chris

  2. So whats the price??

  3. Sorry just a minor detail! £7000

    Thanks

  4. Not a bad price, but at the upper end of the 1098s spectrum.

    I think there's a few 1198 (not S models) on ebay now, around £8k, even an 1198S for £8.3k.

  5. Thanks for your reply.

Can't really stretch to £8000 +. The cheapest 1098s I could find on autotrader etc was a 2007 56 plate for £7995 from a dealer. So it looks cheap. One has just come on ebay with Termi cans which I prefer + extras and only 7000 miles it's a 2007 07 for £7800.

To be honest I would want the Termi cans and open clutch cover etc so not sure now.

    Cheers

    Chris

  6. S model FSH 11K & Mint sounds like a bargain & Leos usually growl get it bought :upyeah:

  7. Yeah the Leo's were really loud! Still prefer the Termi cans. But it's got to be worth £7000. Cheers :upyeah:

  8. Sounds like a good price to me. I'd begrudge letting mine go for that

  9. £7k is pretty good especially if you trust the bike and its history. Go for it :)

  10. Agreed, 7k, go shake his hand.

    • Agree Agree x 1
  11. I think 7k is fair, especially if u know the history of the bike and he is a mate. Leo's are okay, they are well made and can't be any louder than termi's surely!!!
