Very reluctant sale of my very very clean 1098S that many of you will know from my build thread, I wasn't expecting to sell it so soon after finishing all the work I've done, however needs must. It's an 07 plate 1098S with 9500 miles, full service history and just had a large amount of work done at Baines Racing: Belt change and full service Removed forks and sent to Ohlins for complete rebuild (all bushes/seals etc) Bled brakes Fitted new airbox breather pipe Fitted Samco hoses Suspension set up Geoff also commented that it's the cleanest 1098S that he has seen. Looking at other bikes for sale else where and taking into consideration the parts currently fitted and the work done I'm looking for £8750. I know it's really not ideal, however I'm carless at the moment as my lease just ended and my wife isn't working, added to that I'm now in America and then Afghanistan for the whole summer! If it doesn't sell then I might look to split it.
That is a stunning bike and if I did not buy my 848 EVO last year and spent an absolute fortune on her to get her how I want her I would of snapped this up as you have made my dream 1098s with your spec. Long shot but if someone could buy it off you with you having the option to buy it back once your back and things settled down as I can see you have put your heart and soul into her and even if someone bought her off you it would still be your bike. I not only feel bad for you having to sell her but bad for your bike as I bet she will miss you as much as you will miss her as stupid as that sounds.
Thanks again for all the comments, like you say I've spent a lot of time researching bits and money buying them! It's been a proper labour of love. Just remembered it also has a trickle charger, DP bar end weights and DP oil filler.
I am off to the US with work a week today for a month so won't be available after this weekend for 4 weeks.
