1100 EVO remap results

  1. 95 hp & 72 torque
Following my disappointment of the 1100 Hyper evo performance & the state of the fueling out of the box I had to do something.
So after adding a Leo decat & MWR airbox top but retaining the std silencers it was remaped at CJS Racing nr. Bristol this week & showed 95 hp & 72 torque, but the figures only tell half the story...

These are the differences I noticed.

    • response to small throttle opening is very precise
    • coming back onto throttle from closed is smooth without delay
    • riding though 30mph limits I can choose 2nd, 3rd or 4th gear, all are smooth (in STD trim any gear was bad)
    • filtering through traffic no longer requires feathering the clutch to keep it smooth
    • WOT through the gears is much quicker, this hauls ass now
    • Midrange torque lasts longer through the rev range (2nd gear WOT the front continues to lift where before it would drop off)
    • spend much more time in top gear & make noticeable less gearchanges on a journey
    • fuel light come on 10 miles earlier...oh well...

Well worthwhile, I was told the bike would be transformed, & it is.
This took virtually the whole day to do, not surprising having seen the amount of data that requires checking, then modifying & re-checking, to do properly is a lot of work. Exhaust valve is deactivated too. (no errors)
Chris is an absolute expert in this field & took time to explain the process, some of which was over my head!
I would recommend a remap at CJS if you want your machine to run as it should, whatever mods you have made.
Thanks also to Rich (Louigi Moto) for the tea & allowing me to look around at all the interesting stuff he has there.

    Top Guys indeed :upyeah:

  2. interesting, what kind of money was the remap on the evo, just had my vivaro van done at my local garage, it has seriously gone from a donkey to a racehorse in comparison for a cost of £250

  3. These are exactly the mods i'm looking to get so would be extremely interested in price for re map. Did you have to get a power commander or anything?

  4. took most of the day but worked out about £50/hour, well worth it.

Total cost to get the bike to this stage was £130 airbox lid/filter, £182 Leo decat & £420 custom map = £732

    cheaper than termis....

  5. Great thanks. Was going to get my bike serviced there and get it all done same time. Give me some time to save my pennies. Definitely get it done though.

  7. Out of interest I had my 796 (paaaa I hear you say ) done after adding a Zard Penta can, Leo Vince de-cat pipe and a K&N filter (I was advised not to mess with the airbox). Ok, so mine doesn’t make the same level of power as an 1100 (my #’s were 83bhp & 58ft lbs torque at the wheel on the final dyno run compared to the factory bench “at the crank” rating of 81 & 55) but it’s the difference in the overall ride quality after BSD in Peterborough had done the remap that blew me away. As the original post says, it just totally transforms the way the bike rides. Personally I wasn’t interested in the #’s I just thought it’d make it run “a bit better” but in reality the difference is effin' incredible. As I’ve written in another thread, I’ve never spent a better £350 on any bike tuning mod in 40yrs of riding. Get it done, NOW !!! :upyeah:

  8. I agree
had this done on an Monster s2r1000, made a huge difference to my enjoyment of riding
worth it for the smooth and consistent throttle response alone

  9. Howdo!

Chris did my Superlight and would recommend him to anyone, transformed my bike :upyeah:
