My 2009 1100S has what I assume are original calipers - sometime of monobloc Brembos. I have a spare pair of Brembo calipers from my 2013 1199 Panigale having fitted Hel calipers in their place. I've also got a spare Hel front Master cylinder which has never been fitted. I might as well strap these all onto the 1100S, right? The caliper must be an ungrade I assume, coming from Ducati's flagship sportsbike of 4 years later. Any reason not to? Too much brake? You can always just squeeze less hard, right? jm
What’s the worst that can happen? Go for it. If you don’t like it, swap it all back. Mind you, hasn’t the Hyper 1100S got M4’s on it? They should be pretty good on such a light bike.
I'm actually not sure what the current calipers are. They look different to those on my 796 hyper. Would the Pani calipers be M50s? I'm not entirely familair with all of the model designations.
Depends on the orientation of your banjo mount and where you bleed nipple is. I’d probably look at pairing your existing M4s (?) with the Hel master cylinder. I use M4s on my track Multistrada with a monoblock race master cylinder. You can play at being Toprak on that, they are so good Andy
Done a few brake upgrades and "move-arounds" between my z1000, hyper and RSV4....are the panigale calipers M50's?
My 1299 are m50's. TBH, the M4's on my old 1198 were feckin awesome. I prefer them but prob more to do with abs on 1299. Theyre awesome now I shoved an RCS on it.
