  1. On my 1198 i got 2 weeks ago i got a bt 016 pro 0190/50/17 on there.
I will need a new one soon so do i go for the same? it handles great as it is or do i go 190/55/17 as it should be or try a 200/55/17 .... or does that require a lot of modding to brake holder etc
is there much difference between the 190/50 ...190/55 apart from 190/50 being 5mm wider.
I cant see it making much difference tbh for general road riding

    Cheers guys

  2. the 55 and 50 refer to the aspect ratio of the tyre. on a 190/50 the rolling radius will be less than a 190/55.

  3. Why would fitting different tyres need the brake hanger to be modded?

  4. I just read that fitting a 200/55 required some mods ... Would like a 200/55 as supposed to handle great and look good, quite happy with the 190/50 TBH .. just wondering what others thought

  5. 6" rim isnt it? 190/60 new supercosras would speed things up

  6. You might have to keep an eye on tyre to swingarm clearance.

  7. @Disco Davies you got long swingarm in yours? You run 195/65 so mega tall

  8. He has a 916 style long arm.
    Not the chunky 1098 one.

  9. I used to run 195/65 with standard swingarm. I di have a bit of tyre rub at high speeds. With long swingarm all good.

  10. Think I'll stick to the 190/50 ... handles a lot better than my rsvr did on the same size tyre :D

  11. Loving 180/60

  12. Thats what wil go on my trumpet track bike

  13. Not meaning to hijack but doesn't changing tyre size upset the traction control

  14. Only got the base model 1198 so it doesn't have traction control :D

  15. Bit harsh for the girls that do? :Angelic:

  17. Hi i had to put a 190x50 on my 1198 when i had a blow out in France, it frightened the life out of me on a track a lot less lean than a 55,
