They’re like rocking horse shit. I looked for one for ages then gave up and settled for a standard R… it’s a hard life
I see, would you value it at anything like that though. I'm tight, and I've always wanted the best bang for my buck, so the fact they didn't make many isn't enough to give me wood .
Anyone who buys that has way more money than sense imho. It’s no different to these people allegedly paying 50k for a diavel in some horrid green colour
Cheaper to buy an 1198s corse and a 1098r and swap engines. (Edit: before I receive hate mail, this is of course a joke. Maybe.)
Down to how much disposable you have I guess. A Panigale R plus 1098 R would make more sense to me, for £40k or less.
Millsport in Northern Ireland will have one for you if you are after one, or a Las I know on another forum gas one and hasn't used it, paid 40 or 45 k for it a few years ago I'd say he's used it twice
Not a bang for buck bike. But it’s the kind of bike that would get a collecter quite excited. And if you rocked up at a meet, the chin strokers would be round it like flies round shit.
I look at it the other way. knock the guy down as much as possible, keep it ten years and sell it for £60k.
Can't really use them though if you've bought as an investment. Stuff like this is ridiculously mileage sensitive in relation to value retention. And it's not an ideal purchase for ragging round Donington. There are more sensible choices. Fucking hell, it's in Thorne as well. I'm surprised the shop hasn't been ram raided for it.
Lovely, that's top money for the 1098 based on the current market values but nevertheless you could use it without stripping any value from it. I think that motorcycle specialist up north would advertise it at a much higher premium.
