Hi all. Upon cleaning my bike this afternoon I noticed that the headlights were all fogged up. The bike is still under ducati Coventry warranty so I hope that it is covered. Have many of you had experience with this and how did you get on? Would just like to know your thoughts and experience with this problem. Thanks Lew.
Yup mine has done it since new especially when you get temp changes. Seen all sorts of attempts to clear it, from sealing to gel packs but there has never been a definitive fix as far as I'm aware. Happpens on mine more with main beam as its used less, I just don't worry about it as there are a host of other things to attend to first, the misting dash is more annoying as far as I'm concerned. You asked us all, we all told you they all do it, if the dealer put a brand new headlight unit in it would still do it. Wait till your speedo glass cracks that will piss you off because they all do that as well lol. If your a fuss pot Ducati's are not the bike for you as all manner of strange things will happen.
we'll it's not my first ducati and my 1st had no problems whatsoever. Just checked it again now it's in garage and it's completely gone lol! I think the cold weather didn't help. Nevermind, just bring on some dry sunny days
If you pop the plastic covers off the back of the lights that cover the lamps, drill a small hole in the bottom maybe 4mm and refit. It's not a cure, but helps the air get around the lamps and reduces the amount of condensation that gets trapped.
