The full system is a straight swap,if its just the cans then you will need the correct link pipe, cans are all the same fitments but some are stamped Ducati performance and some have just Akrapovic on the side, the 2nd gen 1199r has Akras with cats in as standard and are not the race cans.
Hey there buddy! Following on from the ongoing pillion seat sage for the Panigale R saga... if you could take a look at the pictures below which are of both the Akrapovic exhausts that came with my bike when I got it. The one that you can see that says "Titanium" on the side also says Akrapovic on the top although it's not visible in the picture as it's hidden behind the side fairing . The other exhaust which you can see that reads Akrapovic also has that message printed on the side about it being for track day use. Is the track day use printed one what Akrapovic call the Full Race Exhaust? Also, would you happen to know whether a Panigale R as standard comes with both those exhausts? I'm guessing it comes with just the one, in which case I'd guess it comes with the one that reads "Titanium" on the side. Are the differences between the two that you can remove the baffles, the lack of cats and the different link pipe on the one that I'm referring to as the Full Race Exhaust? Thanks for all your help!
The 2nd gen Pani R just comes with the one Akra, for road use (with cat and non removable baffles), the 1st gen R came with a road Termi and track Termi.
The top picture is the standard 2nd gen r exhaust, with cat and has no removable baffles.the second pic is of the Akra race cans,no cats and removable baffle, there are a few different types of Akra race end cans, some are Ducati Performance branded and some are just Akra branded. With the 2nd gen r you have the benefit of titainium headers as standard,so in theory you have the full race system. Top pic - Akra branded cans (off 1199 superleggra) Middle pic - full titainium race system headers, early type clamps (off 1199 superleggra) Bottom pic - Race cans with 1299 y section
