Hi, planning to get down to Cornwall at half-term for a few days. Previously I've used a Kriega US-10 on the tail but it's not the most secure (needs the straps permanently fixing under the rear seat, which it don't really want to do). Instead I've bought a Kriega Tank Adapter. Has anyone fitted one to their Panigale ? There's no obvious place to anchor the front straps....
There was a mention on here late last year of a Panigale specific system being designed by Kriega for the rear of the bike. Not heard anymore since though.
So I had a fiddle in the garage this morning . Jeez it's cold. Thanks to Matt B who suggested looping front straps around the headstock and keeping them flat. I actually tied 2 small loops around the Rad mounting bracket then looped the straps thru them. I experimented with the Velcro patches on the rear but instead looped the optional spare straps through the seat mounting point; Final result is secure although I'm not happy that the nylon straps "hug" the tank paintwork; So I'll think about it a while but may revert to carrying in the tail and bolting straps through for security. For the record - hate riding with a rucksack !
