1199 Ecu

  1. Hey Guys, so…

Just wanted to check my logic with you knowledgeable people.

I have an 1199 and the bike came with a Power Commander fitted and an SC Project exhaust.

Now I’m aware that the bike has a "closed loop" after 5200rpm air/fuel calculations are hard coded into the ECU and run "open loop". Thus a partial closed loop system. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

With the above in mind I’m thinking that the reason for the Power Commander install was to manipulate the fuel table below 5200rpm.

I have the relevant software installed on my laptop, just waiting on delivery of the cables to connect. I can then see what’s going.

I was thinking that one way to check if the ECU had been flashed was to check the o2 sensor and see if it had been altered.

    What are your thoughts?

  2. If the ECU has been flashed, wouldn’t the O2 sensors be unplugged ? They are on my 1200 Multistrada. Andy

  3. Isn’t it there to ‘kid’ the ecu into thinking it’s at a different Rev range?

  4. Yes exactly, that’s what I’m thinking of checking first you see
