  1. Hi chaps went out this morning, it's was dry but damp & we knew it was going to rain
But didn't realise as much !!!

Anyway it's now running on 1 cylinder I believe .... Obviously waters got in somewhere :(
No faults on the dash limped home with it missing & spluttering.
Swilled off the big bits of mud !!!
And now in the garage drying out
    Ideas ?
    Serious 1's please

    Thanks in advance Paul.

  2. Sounds like the Ducati front/lower cyl affliction ... wasn't it the front coil got soaked & failed ???

  3. I had same problem on an 848 turned out one of the spark plugs had got fowled up.

  4. Let it dry slowly Paul and me thinks all will be well. Like you have said it did rain an awful lot and water ingresses everywhere. Hope it works out ok.:upyeah:

    Ps Let me know please.

  5. Thanks For that chaps
it was running fine when we set off. I thought my "ducati" problems were behind me with the 916 early 1098 models but Alas .....
It's drying out at the moment if no joy tomorrow night I'll pull the fairings out & get my Airline out !
Strange no fault on the Dash tho ???

  6. I would only expect to see a fault on the dash if it was something electrical or sensors were picking up something amiss.

  7. That's what I thought a (short) on the front coil would have thrown up a fault ?

  8. Yeah definitely, so we've narrowed it down a bit, It shouldn't get water ingress in the pots surely ?

  9. You wouldn't think so would ya :-/
I spray that Scotoiler fs430 stuff under the fairing ie over the Electrics.
But the Weather in the Shropshire hills was proper filthy today !
It looked like it had been pulled out of a canal by the time id got home !!!

  10. Sorry Scottoiler FS 365

  11. Sounds yuk, But bear in mind how well torqued the bolts are it should be water tight.
When you get round to taking fairing off check the plugs first.

  12. I will cheers

  13. It might save any further pulling apart of the bike.
