Hello all, New to the 1199 world. Got a 2013 1199 abs model. What mod would make it a bit smoother round town speeds? +2 on rear or some re map? How many miles are you getting off oem chain?
I went +3 on the rear, Sprint filter, a 1299 system (decatted) and Rapidbike Evo. Made it a far more pleasureable experience.
I had the ECU flashed and set up by Chris at CJS - perfect fueling - 1st and 2nd gear throttle response was transformed and no surging.
will have to look next year up north east for remap. is +3 on rear not a bit lively? has it made it much worse on fuel. Went -1/+3 on a r1 and tank range dropped.
+3 smoothed out the power band. Its lively but not a handful.. That said it lift its front wheel in 4th! if you on it. Not really noticed an difference in range.
ECU mapping is normally around £300-400. I think I paid £350 for the Rexxer on my 959. To help with on/off throttle control I found the throttle spacer kits are well worth £25. Gets rid of that slop at the start of the movement.
