Never been a fan of the Kreiga kit I own d despite its rave reviews I am not convinced its suitable for the 1199, has anyone got or tried the official Ducati tank bag? Its expensive but looks like it may serve a purpose? Cheers Mill
iam starting to look into tank bags now as well so i would be interested to hear the opinons on this too
I got the Ducati tank-bag and used it just the once ! It looks good and although a fiddle to fit in the first instance, is easy after that. My only gripe was that if you actually fill it with anything, the stretch to the bars is ridiculous... I could barely steer or operate the bike. I have found that the tail-bag, although only modest, is much more practical and usable. Get some of that clear plastic protective film fitted (by someone who knows how to... bad idea to try oneself) to stop the paint from getting scratched by debris that blows under the bag in use. I think this whole discussion kind of demonstrates that this bike is best for touring with only one's credit card for luggage and your wet-weather gear in a tail-pack (Wales is a VERY wet place sometimes, let me tell you ! ) .
