looking to buy an 1199 workshop manual, saw this on Ebay anyone bought it or bought a manual from anywhere else ?
I bought from another ebay seller months ago only for reasons I don't know it stopped working correctly, which think more to do with windows 8?? Can only open a folder which has all the pictures in it, also when opening the autorun and I then try opening a page, all I get it funny looking writing?? Think its window 8 issue though?? Also can't get adobe reader to work now so have to open in explorer or firefox. Is it possible to email large 500mb files to someone as would be happy to share it to save you guys the costs I Also got/bought a coloured version of the wiring schematic.
I've bought a few now that were all HTML files and subsequently stopped working per imbloodystinktagain's post above. The next one I buy will be a PDF version so no issues and can read on an iPad etc. It'll not be hooky either. Obviously. Also, this might be me being overly cautious but I had them delivered to a business address. I didn't wish for someone who possibly sells rip off's of someone else's intellectual property for £4 on the internet to know I had a brand new bike sat at my home address. Just saying.
Feck knows how or why, the 1199s one is working and showing pictures as it should. others open buy getting "X" were pics should be. Just happy that one works now with the pictures showing with the workshop manual pages and instructions Now need to figureout were The coloured wiring schematic is on my pc. (lol)
from my understanding the ones on ebay are rips off an official service manual from ducati, so paying for it off ebay is supporting people ripping off official ducati information. You can find the same manuals on pirate bay or similar places if you look around. Not sure what is worse paying for a pirated copy off ebay or just downloading it off pirate bay without paying ducati for the intellectual property. I have a copy of the iso file with manual and it works just fine in win7, nice to have and provides a good overview of most procedures you can do at home as well as some you probably are better off leaving for a proper dealer
