  1. At the Hastings Mayday run last weekend I spotted this bike which had me intrigued as never seen or heard of them before. Im not usually one to stop and take pics of other peoples bikes but this looked special. Not sure if its clear in the photo but it is a pale orange colour and has the decals 1199 Panigale Rs. Race switch gear, different top yoke, active suspension, the tank is clearly just a thin cover with racing filler cap a few mm underneath and check out the blue exhaust.
Does anyone have more info on this spec as Google dint turn up much at all?

  2. What you saw was most definitely not an RS

  3. was it a 749RS?

  4. No looks more likely an R but with a load of cash thrown at it. What intrigued me most was the tank it is just some sort of cover all one piece even around the ignition barrel. I guess this is just covering the standard tank?

  5. It just a cover over the tank. More interestingly is what sort of header pipes are those? Standard Termi end cans but that blue pipe looks interesting.

  6. Sorry - looks like a load of Halfords tat...

  16. I had some of these. To be honest they were very good quality, carbon fibre protectors which were then painted an laquered to match the bike tank colour scheme. They aren't mass produced they were designed and made by a panigale owner in America who fell off and mashed his tank so he made some himself at home. Then when other Pani owners started to ask where he got them he decided to make a few more. When I bought my set he said that it was the last batch he was making and wouldn't be making anymore. Maybe he changed his mind. They were good value at only £100. They did fit snugly on the tank the fitment on the picture above looks a mess, maybe owner made a balls of fitting them or maybe the tank cover under them distorts the fitment.
