Hi ladies and gents, just joined the forum and having owned a few Duc's in the past love them! and just bought my 1199s 2012 last Sept I've always liked the race shift so here goes I flipped the knuckle around on the shaft easy enough now the shifter is pull and I now need a push so to achieve this my theory was to dismantle the rod no need to touch the wiring undo the 2 very small screws and pull off the micro switch and you'll see the small button on the switch it's faces towards the engine, also you'll see on the metal housing with pin peruding, this pin needs to be on the opersite side (its 6mm) to create the push movement so you have to replicate this fitting in reverse its slightly elongated to allow movement around 1/2mm just measure everything twice before cutting ok, on the case where the pin sits on the lower side inside) you see a small recess don't forget to do this, I used a milling bit on a bench drill and a dremel but that's not all then once you've pulled the pin out and undone the tention nut 17mm all the way remove the internal piston and spring from the case shorten the spring by 3mm and then place in the case 1st then place 2 8mm spring washers over the piston where the spring original was this makes the length 17mm longer, so measure 17mm on the thread end and remove but before this tap down a further thread of 17mm to compensate and dress the thread screw it all back together and you done its time consuming but cost me nothing good luck
