Ok, so I reckon Ive found a Multi 1200 abs and although its not in the exact colour id like thats no real problem as Ive been designing a scheme i like on Photoshop which ill look to get done as a project over winter/early spring. I have two variants. One where id need to strip the frame out for powder coat (long winded) or the other is where id need to remove the rear sub-frame for powder-coat. I presume the rear sub-frame is easiest but without having the bike yet I thought Id ask you learned lot So, is the rear sub-frame pretty straight forward to get at and remove for said powder coating? Also i take it the rear rack thing is seperate and can be removed can it? Ill probably also look at getting all foot pegs etc anodized black and i see theres another thread on that. Finally the bikes just been serviced and I believe it would be the two year/7500 mile service (its a 2011) I presume Im correct in assuming that a two year & 7500 mile service are one in the same? in other words I wouldnt take ownership of the bike and then need to go and get it serviced again at 7500 miles? just the next year?
The rear subframe is held on by only 4 M8 hexhead screws, 2 at each side. They are loctited in and seem to be made of cheese You will of course have to remove all the attached parts, rear light and number plate holder, grab rails, etc.
