1200 Multistrada Exhausts - Best Decat Option?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Chris916multi, Dec 6, 2012.

  1. Wanting to decat my bike to make it look a little better, that cat is horrible, & release a few more ponies.

Anyone fitted a full exhaust system without the catalytic convertor & had it remapped? What did you fit & what were the results?

I’ve sorted a power commander at the bike show together with a free flowing air filter & intend once which ever exhaust gives best results is fitted to get it set up on a dyno.

I’ve looked at the full Termignoni system but is that the best & to be honest I think the £1500 + cost is a little hard to swallow. The MiVV, Arrow & Leo Vince look just as good and at half/a third of the cost of the Termi I think are better value but what are they like?

  2. Ditch the power commander and get the ecu directly remapped. It'll give better results. Quite a few do this now, CJS Ducati to name one.

  3. Thanks for the info but have you got or know any one with any dyno results comparing the two as I find lads generally exaggerate there results just thinking its better after they have done x, y or z. I will check out CJS though.

    Cheers

  4. Search the forum for CJS mapping, it does cost but you don't have to buy any hardware so is comparible the power commander route I believe, (cost wise), plus you get to map each cylinder independantly for fuel and SPARK, and customize your system(s), research and you will find out.
