My new 12 is in for its 600mile service , here's just a few noted impression's over them 600 miles compared to my old 11 which had the full system with up map (9'000)miles Midrange and power all the way through far stronger , way way better Turn in and mid corner stability better Brakes stronger Bike easy to ride faster DWC is excellent Down shifter brilliant even while cranked over Seat & Pegs sorted now no probs Heat is not an issue even while filtering in town Overall I'am absolutely delighted totally better machine than the 11 , Bologna has done a real good revamp on this one Top Marks Ducati .
I thought they were too after I had a demo on one but kinda got poo poo'd, but I could have sworn they were stronger!
Mate at the weekend was running in a demo one, and found it so much better than the 11. Front end feel particularly. And effortlessly fast. Maybe even easier than his evo But far less engaging and lacking 'experience' of his evo 22 big ones...lot of dosh...
Again, so last year. Riders had a 1299 with the new Akrapovic fitted in yesterday. Looks really well made but I still can't believe that they've dumped Termignoni!
Never had anything like that with my 11 not many problems at all 2012 model first batch in UK put 9'000 odd miles on it plus couple of tracks
Picked my 12 up yesterday! Agree with all of above. Def more smoother in low speed traffic, and more comfy too than the 11. Auto blipper & clutchless down shifter is soo smooth....you wonder how we rode bikes without it! Lol
The more friendly bumpy road riding of the 1299 appeals to me but at the same time all those systems on track kind of put me off. Is it possible to completely turn off the active suspension gubbins? Much as it would be nice, I'm not going to spend £30k on the R so I want the S to do everything. I'm not sure if it's because I've pretty much learnt to ride on the 1199 or some other reason (like me not being a Jedi rider ) but I've never experienced any of the negative points about the 1199 on track. I often think it's just because the people who have reviewed the bike have not had the time to get used to riding it, It certainly took a few months to get used to riding it hard on track but it feels completely natural now. It wags the tail on hard braking but the whole squatting under hard acceleration thing has never appeared.
