Just a thing happening to our 1299 demo bike this summer, it just wouldnt do top end numbers, itd do just fine to 9300rpm and then keep the same power 165 until the end. Then we had another 848SF that did just 100hp. Major head scratch, so we said just force the ex valve open and see right, SF848 was up to 120 and the 1299 kept climbing to the anticipated 182rwp too. Ducati now has a stronger spring to fit 1299. Make sure this is fitted at the next service, probably not a recall just yet, but likely will be, spring is available already though. Get back with part no next week. We just wired it fully open, id suggest that.
Thank TomTom, Has your bike seen mainly track use? Trying to see if this is a track only issue, or if i would notice this happening on the spirited mountain runs (Aka: Canyon Carving)
You need to go above 9300 plus you need to be used to the power to notice it as its bloody quick at 165rwhp already. We had a couple of guys trying the bike and said it was just fine...while it was not If I had one Id hard wire it open, but there is now this new upgraded spring to consider. Just a heads up, thats all.
