The story about the heat is true bud do-able. The story about throttle spacer i am not sure. It does not seem to bother me.. anyone got experience with installing throttle spacers? Improvement or not? Then there is the chain grease on the exhaust. Is that normal? Who says the mirrors are useless? My girlfriend think they are verry usable .
Allright i will put you out of your misery.. First pic the girl is looking in the mirror of the 1299. I wrote my gf is happy with the mirrors.. now put 2 and 2 toghetter...
Stock chain is pants so I’ve changed to Wurth dry lube. Not found the need for throttle spacers as the play doesn’t bother me and is engineered into the action so if that’s the way Duc intended I’ll leave it be.
That grease is nothing, mines got more spillage than a porno set. Less tissues than the pic tho. I can’t bring myself to clean my bikes, it’s wrong. Rag’em and race’em.
I was drooling over one of them at Chris Walker's Kawasaki shop today, I think he has secretly bought one, cos its in the showroom, no number plate, and a notice saying Do Not Sit On This Bike..........
Managed to clean in it of. Under the chain near the engine there is a cup to catch the grease. Becouse excessive grease it filled up... so this has to be cleaned regularly.
My final edition been a nightmare been back to Ducati for 6 weeks wouldn't rev past 7k then when you turn key on and off it works for 10 mile then does it again they've changed fuel pump, throttle, side stand sensor, lamba sensor brought it back 3 weeks ago got screw in tyre so took me 2 weeks to get it changed went out on it same problem not revving it's got to go to Silverstone Ducati headquarters now local dealer hasn't got a clue no error codes either lost the whole summer
I would complety clean the chain of the original chain wax as is can permanently discolour the stock Ti exhaust box.
too much oil running down where your picture is, was a indication that my 1199 inner clutch rod seal was damaged. worth keeping an eye on
