  1. When I first heard the 2017 bike was to be 73k, just thought Ducati were taking the piss, then today I was lucky enough to get a close look at one at a dealers. Now I think 73k is not exactly a bargain, but it is reasonable. The detail is staggering and having spoke with the owner, the spares, the treatment (Inc a Mugello track holiday) and the bike itself make for a mega experience. I hear they are already changing hands at 90k+ and quite believe it having seen one in the flesh.
Quite possibly the most beautiful bike I've ever seen, there's 500 very lucky folk out there.... Stunning.

Now, can someone please lend me 90k ish?? ;)

  2. I was looking at one at the bike show, lovely bike although from a distance it didn't look much different in my opinion bar the obvious pipe and paint job

  3. Carbon wheels, full carbon frame and swing arm. Sandcasted motor casings, all ti motor internals, etc etc etc. Stunning piece of engineering that with R&D , I'd be surprised if Ducati make much dosh on these....

  4. There was one at the Ducati Track day on Tuesday, it sounded beautiful....but then again the Desmo which was there also fantastic too!

  6. It's true though, these things are marketing tools that cost the company money to make. There's also all the money spent on press events and such.

  7. Guess you fella's might have a point. Bugatti Veyron/Chiron springs to mind and Porsche 959.
I just can't get my head round £72k for a bike! That's serious boys toys dosh!

  8. It was good to see the bike on the track as intended, and not locked away as some sort of investment like most will be.

  9. Saw one at the bike show in Excel, looked awesome apart from the matt paint which is out of date and chavy in my opinion. Hot rods started the matt paint thing over 20 years ago and it's now for 15 year old VW Polos for the "hoody types"..... Bit of lacquer wouldn't have gone amiss...... Apart from that they look really special. I wonder if there had been a choice of shiny and matt how many owners would have picked the matt option?

I guess I'm just an old fart now who thinks top line Ducatis should be shiny bright red only.

  14. If I was a rich man...I'd buy one, stick track fairings on it and wobble my way around the tracks of Europe yelling "I'm considerably richer than yaaaawwwww" at all the R6's overtaking me....:D

  15. In the same vein, I'd ride it as hard as I could and probably race it, just to f*ck off half the paddock lol

Because if I were rich enough to own it, I'd be rich enough to not worry about working if I binned it....just buying and the occasional run up the road wouldn't be enough for me

  16. Yeah if I was rich enough I'd buy one and use it. But I guess you rarely get rich enough with that attitude.

  17. Is it a homologation special, built to make the bike more competitive against the Kawasakis?
