Hi i noticed yesterday the right hand fairing infills have rubbed the paint off the tank it is only a small amount but this is caused by the fit of the panel. Anyone else had this? Whats my chances of getting a new tank?
The plastic trim strips on my SF have rubbed the paint off the tank as well. Its gone where the front edge of the seat meets the tank as well. Have you checked there? Good luck with getting a new tank. I was going to get some Venture Shield strips to cover the affected areas but its a bit late in my case.
Still waiting for a positive response from ducati. I did look at 3 bikes yesterday in the shop and all 3 of them the trim touches the tank only on the right side. Also looking at the demo bike it has had the paint rubbed off same place as mine. Someone else must have this problem surely.
I'd be hitting the roof, if that was a car it would be fixed. It does amaze me how Ducati / dealers can fob you off, or try to. Its a premium brand after all.
