14t Front Sprocket For 821

  1. Has anyone on here changed to a 14T front on a 821 Hyperstrada ?
I've read on another forum that a few people have had issues with rev limiter cutting in earlier at around 8K for some reason after fitting a 14T. No idea why this should be ?
But anyway thought I'd check on here in case anyone else has come across any issues.

My bike is standard apart from having an Akra can fitted, and no remap.

    Much appreciated for any feedback.

  2. I'm looking forward to reading replies to this. I put a smaller front sprocket on my 1100s, which transformed it (as it near topped out at max revs and kept the whole midrange fruity), but when riding my 939 today, I was envisioning that it could actually ruin the ratios, as they feel pretty good.

I'm sure I could work it out with Excel pretty quickly, but am keen to hear experiences of others.

  3. I've gone 14t on the front and 45t on the back of my 798 and it really flyes now. I would recommend it. I had just the front a 14t before and it did hit the limiter early.

  4. I did it on my 15 hyper, and I plan on going back. I feels like it's just masking the small lack of power the 821 hyper has. Also at highway speeds I always want to shift up.
