14t sprocket

  1. Has anyone bought a 14t 530 front sprocet or know where to buy one from??.

  2. I have a long time ago. It was from Germany on eBay. Search beck-berger for the seller - not cheap though....

  3. Thanks Bob.

i had a look at beck-berger site, 79euros including postage a bit exspensive as you said.

  4. Renthal only do 14t in a 525 pitch, i found a few sites in the US that are selling a14t 530 pitch supplied by AFAM sprockets, the price is good but the postage is ridiculous. i rang JB gears in Wetherby & they are quoting around £120 for a one off. so beck-berger dont seem so exspensive now.

  5. Check either bike torque racing or b&c express. Btr are uk distributor for afam. B&C distribute Renthal or will make from a blank. Talon will also make you a one off.

  6. Had a quick look around on line. Afam aren't listing one. Renthal neither. Other than what you've found, I can only suggest talking to Talon and seeing what they can do.

  7. It's the same front sprocket as the Diavel I think, isn't it Nelly?
Is there an official Ducati replacement in 14t for that, and if so how much?

  8. No Antony.....MTS runs a 530 chain. Everything else is pretty much on 525 with a few on 520.

  9. beck berger was the best deal I could find at the time....

  10. try this link its where i found the the 14t 530 pitch sprocket in the USA.
    AFAM Sprockets

  11. Seems like a good deal, even after customs and P&P

  12. Hold fire.......Been chasing this with the distributor and should have the Afam in 5 weeks or so for UK supply.

  13. To late i bit the bullet & ordered one from Beck Berger, good news for everyone else though.

  14. Fitting it yourself?....can be a bit tricky, don't forget to remove the clutch slave cylinder

  15. already in bits on the ramp.

  16. I know have some of these in stock. Afam, so good quality. £24 inc. VAT

  17. What benefits do people see with this mod? Obviously you are shortening the gearing but what do this do for a Multi?

  18. keeps the wheel in the air longer
It generally makes the bike livelier (as if it needed it !) and means you can filter with the clutch out at lower speeds, go up a gear sooner, and so cruise in a higher gear.
I would guess most of us rarely use 6th gear, and on a recent trip to Wales I only got into 5th once !

    I know on my 996 & 998 it took 6k rpm in top from 110mph to 100mph.

The down side is that it is meant to stress the chain more, and wear more.
    Hope that helps.
