Dont ask me why , but , I just purchased , unseen , a 2.5k miles honda cb350s which has been in the back of a garage for the last 30 odd years . Now I have to pick it up. If I take the bars off and the front wheel out do youthink it will fit in a bmw x5 . overall length is 2.1 . And the x5 is 1.9 . Height i think will be ok with the bars off .
Borrow or hire a SWB Tranny van. It isn't worth the torn upholstery, the sweat, the swearing and the physical injuries. Sounds like a nice little project though..
As above not worth the hassle! I bunged the local bike shop £20 and beer to borrow their bike trailer...job done! You got a tow bar?
Yeah I know that makes sense only its 250 miles from my home and i'l be passing on my wayback from kent next week. I hate to have to go back . Going to try the x5 . Hell I will have a few hours I can strip it till it does fit . Never had petrol for over 30 years so that shouldn't be aproblem. Just have to take a few more spanners . Cant go wrong. Can it .
It fits and its now back in my garage . Wheels forks and just about everything else came off in 30 minutes . Heavier than I thought as well .
You could equip yourself with a copy of "Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" - that's the bike that was the subject of the "Maintenance"!
