Hi everyone, the time has come for me to make a serious effort to rehome the Sport, it will be going on eBay as an auction soon but I thought I would give you guys a chance to take her on, looking for anhy serious offer over £2000, I really do need the bench space! Hi everyone, I have come to the conclusion that I am just not going to get the time for this one so looking to see if anyone fancies taking her on? The 750 Sport was an interim model produced between 1988-1990, they made 2607 in total with only 95 black and silver models produced for the world so there can't be many left now! She is in very original condition with some patina but apart from the exhaust cans I am confident she is all there! She has had new cam belts and serviced ready for recommissioning but I just don'e have the time and running out of space so should be an easy project, I have included some photos to show just how clean she is under the skin and like I said as far as I can tell she is unrestored and original. Not looking for massive money on this one, tried her on eBay and just had the usual time wasters so dropped the price to you lovely people so £2499 buys a piece of history, any questions or more photos please ask and I'll get that sorted for you, bike is located in Lincoln, either dm me or my number is 07867671677 Cheers, Jon
Hi Robert, hope you get sorted, I'm not in a rush but could really do with the space so let me know if you want her!
Blimey Nadge, that must be even more rare down under, I doubt there would have been many 750 Sports in Oz let alone black and silver ones!
Just saw there's a red/white one for sale down this end of the world! (hopefully the link works ..... !?) https://www.facebook.com/groups/178...23161714603969/?sale_post_id=3323161714603969
I’ve not the room, it’s a nice bike though and GLWYS. out of curiosity I guess it is an import as I noticed the sticker on the headlight and the clocks are KPH?
I didn’t realise motorcycle headlights were biased, I thought they just illuminated in a straight line ahead So all those friendly French and Spanish motorists weren’t just being friendly after all !
Just dropped the price to £3499 if anybody fancies it, tried evilbay and it was the usual experience! Really could do with hte space in the garage now that summer is apparently on the way and my son has passed his test so he has bikes to accomodate too!
Well, to be totally honest, this listing started it all for me. Like many, I had absolutely no knowledge of this 1st belt driven 750 Sport/900 SS generation. Which I quickly found out I absolutely love, in many respects. I contacted Jon about it, seeing if we could arrange shipping, etc. After a couple messages, I did not get any answer back and wrongly assumed it had been sold or was no longer for sale. I started to look around my place when I found the two Japanese 900SS… Edit: On a side note, I found out a couple weeks ago that the 1989-1990 900SS parts catalog lists to different headlights: LH and RH, with two different part numbers. I am yet to find another model with both references and under the impression that these bikes, that we almost never see over here in France, were essentially sold down under, as well as in NZ and Japan. On the DucatiPaso Forum, most seem located over there.
The 750 is now sold so please close the thread, she's going to a very good home and staying local so I ncan still keep up with her, gonna be a sad day but got to be realistic about how much time I have for all the projects on the go, hoping this will free up enpugh space and funds to get the Guzzi cafe racer done!
