1991 750SS project

  1. I am building a project bike using an SS750 engine and gearbox.
    I thought that the clutch was cable operated on this model, but when I got the engine, it is hydraulic- am I out by a year or 2 or was there ever a cable operated clutch.
    Also I cannot get an aftermarket ignition system, will I have to get a full, used wiring loom and CDI unit?

  2. Hi David,the engine for a 91 bike is hydraulic and it should be a dry clutch,you can get a ignition system cdi's etc resonably cheap,a aftermaket system would cost you a lot more.

  3. I am stumped on after market ignition, I have asked the guy who supplied the engine to price me a second hand ignition complete- including loom, CDI, coils etc
    Will keep informed

  7. Can you give an indication of price : I need a full set of coils, HT leads, CDI, wiring, switch, anything that I need to make the engine run. I can do paypal no prob- thanks David C
