I'm getting to the final stages of sorting out my Suzuki forked 900ss and was wondering if someone can share the length from the centre of the front axle spindle to the bottom of the steering stem / frame. I am currently at 46cms but can't find my original measurements! Be good to get a standard length as a baseline, including how much of the fork appears above the top yoke. Any help much appreciated!
Might be some help...........the OEM Showas should be fitted so that it is 268mm (10.551") from the top of the fork shroud to the underside of the bottom yoke.
Cool thanks for that. I actually have all the original front end in the shed, but can't remember where it all sat with bearing heights and the like when it was mounted. But if i can make out the fitting marks on the the old forks, this will help! Cheers
progress.... linear springs in, but a seal leak on one fork... gggrrrrrrrrrr and i am envious of people with a garage, i keep the bike at a storage centre in London and need to work where i can. and as evidenced, i am a bit disorganised! :-/
