1998 Ducati Sps 916 Fogarty Rep (996cc) For Sale

Discussion in 'Ducati Bikes For Sale' started by RichG, Dec 10, 2014.

  1. No. 083 (out of 202 units). This is the actual bike which Carl rode at the 2009 Festival 1000 Bikes Past Masters, Mallory Park. The bike has not been used since. You can see the video on the MCN website. Bike is completely as per delivered, no modifications, one owner. It comes with all the original documents, and full set of extras including standard exhausts, paddock stand, bike cover, authenticity certificate (plaque), key fob etc. The condition is truly superb, as new. Full service & new belts were fitted just before Carl rode the bike at Mallory Park, by Ducati John (specialist shop). 2990 miles. GBP £20,000 ovno

  2. nice bike!!

I am tempted to ask why you taxed it in 2011 if it hasn't been used since Foggy in 2009....;) i guess its just what a potential buyer might ask you..

  3. It was Taxed & MOT'd in 2010 and 2011, with the intention of riding the bike a few times each summer, but it never came about. It's been SORN since. I have a race bike collection and provide a Honda GP bike for Freddie Spencer, I've spent the last 4 summers at many Classic events around Europe with him, and thus no time to ride any of the road bikes. If a potential buyer is concerned, the mileage on the 2009 MOT document will prove this.

  8. Mileage is 2990.
Apologies it it offends anyone that I joined to show this bike for sale. But you could also argue that someone in the Ducati community in the UK looking for a Foggy Rep may welcome that I put it on this site?

  9. Thankyou for the mileage update.

  10. I'm not offended but I know people get a bit precious:upyeah:

  11. My arse is too slack to be precious...:Woot:

Did you know your side stand has fallen off?

  12. Did Andy Parno paint your Freddie Bike?

  13. Yes Exige, Andy Parnaby (along with Gray at Zero One Graphics) did the paintjob on Freddie's RS250 & RC30 and they also did my Aoyama Scot Honda 250. Those guys are super talented.

  14. LOL, yes......along with the indicators, mirrors and number plate hanger. Had to walk the track at Mallory Park picking up all those bits after Foggy finished his laps.

  15. One careful owner then?:upyeah:

  16. Yes, careful enough to actually remove all those road parts before taking to track.

  17. I know Andy well, not many know of him as he has never advertised but he's always busy! I will be using him for my 2 KR1000 replicas that I'm building :upyeah:

  18. RichG , Good luck with the sale of your Foggy Rep .

Makes me laugh though , all the foggy sales are com'in out after his recent jungle stint .
There's a guy close to me selling a Replica Foggy helmet !!! lol ...:D

If they're going for close to 20K , then my Foggy Rep 014 will be up for sale shortly ... lol ...:upyeah:

  19. Thanks. LOL, Timing wise is a bit coincidental, I'm trying to raise funds to buy a Honda 500 GP 2 Stroke, so have to sell some of the collection.

  20. Good luck with KR replica project, sounds interesting. Andy P & Gray have done 3 of my bikes, I wouldn't use anybody else now. But agree they are not so well known out there, I think that's how they like it, as they always have a full workload.
