As per title. I'll love to start working on the bike a bit more moving forward. I need an oil and filter change at the moment. Apart from the usual youtube videos, the oil plus filter and the below tools : 4mm Allen, 5mm Allen, oil filter wrench and a torque wrench, is there anything I'll need? Any advises on a torque wrench to buy and what will i need to go with it? Thank you for your help in advance as always. Maurizio
Halfords is your best bet for good quality, value for money, tools and their Advanced range come with a lifetime guarantee. For torque wrenches you’ll need a range eventually, but to start with and to deal with the oil filter, you’ll want one that has a range 5-20Nm or thereabouts. However, you’ll probably find one of that range has a 1/4” drive so you may need an adapter 1/4” to 3/8” so it can be used with larger sockets.
Had my Halfords set for around a decade now, been faultless. I wrecked a knuckle bar being an idiot and using it inappropriately, took it back to Halfords they replaced it without any trauma or the need to provide a receipt. Spot on for my needs.
For your oil filter get a HiFlo 153 RC. Why? Because HiFlo make filters for Ducati, their own branded ones are cheaper than the one with Ducati printed on it but crucially - and this is why I suggest the RC variant, it has a big nut welded to the bottom of it which makes life a whole lot easier when changing it in the future. http://www.hiflofiltro.com/catalogue/model/5328
