2 Into 1 Zorst For 620 Monster

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by chizel, Aug 5, 2018.

  1. Morninf my peoples.
I'd like to put a 2 into 1 on the lil monster. For a few reasons, looks, sound and a lil weight saving..
The standard cans are huge as are the rear set brackets and want rid of both.
Anyone done this or know of anyone that might sell such a thing.
Please do not post comments on my threads unless related. .
To the thread, not to me obviously. ..
    Unless it's funny...

  2. I had a link pipe made and used one of the high level termis I had for my 620, which meant I also had a spare ;) I could never fond one that bolts straight on: IIRC the 620 SS has a different header routing so cant be used with cut/welding.

Cant remember the place that did mine, was Nottingham way and only cost about £170 (2012 tho).

Pic to show result to follow...

  4. That's kinda what im looking for .. was offering up a 748 can and pipe and it looked pretty good...
Won't fit obviously but I like that idea...

  5. I have a 2 into 1, sounds quite good to my ears via the Silmoto end can.

  6. well....you say that...you could bring pipe up under the seat and have single can out there. Looks better on a 620 (pipe clears frame better) but can be done on 620 monster

  7. That a 620?

  8. Nah its a 900ie.

  9. think system is different, when I was looking I couldn't find anything hence had one built. Its only the link pipe really.

Looks nice btw, although can is a bit 1990's supermono rocket launcher ;)

  10. Yeah the can is a bit long... I have an original Ducati OEM cut down & half finished but it will need a link pipe to get the angle right. I will get there!

  11. Btw my old 620 had:
    ST4 alli swingarm
ST2 fully adjustable forks (rebuilt by @PGP )
    916 Showa shock (rebuilt by @PGP )
PC 111 and custom map with 63hp (think torque about 58lbft can’t remember) and was result of @PGP build of motor (class limit 65 and mine was easily one of the best staying inside the rules ;) )
998 fairing (I still have the fitting kit actually, if anyone ever wants to do the same)
Clip ons, make huge difference and iirc I had to change lockstops position but cables etc were all ok
P4 calipers with full race pads. One disc was enough but after a mate nearly died when his overheated and locked on, I went with twin and accepted the c6kgs of weight (as an aside, on my 600 I had twin disc and at Cadwell mine did seize on and caused me to crash and be knocked unconscious when battling for a win on last lap)
    19x18 radial mc
Can’t remember the seat unit, think it was a Honda

Quick enough for 55’s around brands with 110kg rider and road tyres (real road tyres, not supercorsa type rubber)

Boy I miss racing that thing sometimes

  15. Yes, that sounds right.

  16. I had them try it with different filters (removing the box) and it made perforce worse, so high lift filter, modded box to get it to fit, made best power :upyeah:
