Today started out as normal on my 1260S, everything going well. Some 20 minutes later waiting at a Red light and the tick over is very ragged, up &down, almost stalled twice, very odd. Green light and pulled away and the orange engine light comes on. Stop down the road, switch off and back on again, orange engine light is still there plus the DSS light and the ABS and TC lights on and flashing, bike starts OK. Ride on brakes seem OK and it is running fine but the tick over is still ragged. Stop, inspect wheel sensors and have good look round, all seems in place and nothing stuck anywhere. Switch back on - orange engine light still there and the battery level light comes on for maybe 2 or 3 seconds and goes out, no DSS light or ABS or TC lights this time, the bike still rides just fine. Ride on to nearest Costa's car park for a coffee and a think, tick over still very ragged, orange engine light still on. The battery level light bugs me so thought I'll just have look under the seat and hey presto! One minute to locate 10mm spanner and one minute to tighten the positive nut / screw onto the battery (which was loose) and hey presto all lights are now off and tick over returns to it normal steady state. No idea how that came loose, the negative one was tight. Next time it all goes odd on me I'll be checking the battery connections First!
