As title. Offers around £6000 2001 Y reg 14627 miles Mot (Jan 2016) 2 keys V5 Factory under seat toolkit Very recent tyres New DID chain and sprockets New Yuasa battery Hpi clear Just had a major service @ Cornerspeed Ducati, at a cost of £900+ Has had a replacement sprag clutch, starter gears etc also. Has not turned a wheel since this! This is a rare "S" mono model, genuine from the factory with the correct loom subframe seat and seat unit etc etc. Ohlins rear shock, Tin coated Showa forks, 50mm exhaust and the special "S" spec engine...believed to be very similar to the sps motors (better cams, Ti rods etc) All original and genuine all apart from the stick on number board and carbon chain guard...unmolested as the bike should be. The bike is in Good condition for its age, however please remember this is 14 years old so does have some small blemishes. Bike is sorted and ready to go, still has a 2 year warranty on the belts/service work that's just been done. I can supply a set of Carbon 50mm Termignoini Cans for an additional £280 if required. MAY PX with other Ducati.
You would think, however had nothing but time wasters so far. Not many if these S's left...never seen another genuine mono on the market. Gut feeling says I should have stuck to my original plan of breaking it!
I have only seen two ever, one was for sale in Taz Motorcycles in Peterborough at one time for about £8,500, that was in 2002. The other belonged to a friend of mine who sold it at some point.
I'm tempered to keep it..wrap it in cotton wool, then reep the benefit later In life. However cannot justify it now I've just spent nearly a grand servicing it
What's the service history like, is it comprehensive ? Have the rockers and valve clearances been done ?
On eBay and end tomorrow @ 17.13 if anyone fancys a bid? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=261919269741
Love that bike! So tempting! Don't suppose you have any interest in mountain biking? Am in the process of selling a high spec mountains bike if you fancied a px?
Hi mate, Unfortunately not anymore, used to ride the Giant DH team as a kid...too many injuries to ride these days
I'm bidding on it; but can't afford it ! Might have to sell my 848 at knock down price if I win. Are you happy to wait for a couple of weeks for the cash If I win to give me time to sell the 848? Cheers, Bob
