  1. I have the option of yet another bike…see the title. It’s got only 25000 miles, with full MetalMule luggage, although the front cover has the usual corrosion, and there are various bolts which could do with stainless replacements. Appreciate it’s not a Multistrada (had one and loved it) and that it’s a hefty beast-1/4 of a ton, but it takes my fancy.
Has anyone experience of these? The ABS is the non-servo version and is working…
    Opinions and information welcome.

  2. Good bikes, easy to ride and ime of 10k miles I’m all weathers incl snow reliable.

Not so good bits. Brakes are wooden, the no-dive front takes some getting used to and due to its suspension nature get used to a wallow and hilarious ride if getting a good lick on.

The immobiliser ring is a common fault, if you are travelling away I’d take a spare. The vario luggage is great.

And they wheelie ok too :upyeah:

  3. It has huge metal luggage.
My concern is how to bring the poor paintwork/engine coating back to ‘presentable’, without too much dismantling

  4. Few redeeming features imo, this from someone who has only ridden one of the early ones for an hour, but have had three GS…lc 2014, 2017 and a 2021 1250 and covered substantial miles on them. 2017 onwards the ones to go for, 2014 plus, at a push. Otherwise no thanks.
Too heavy, terrible gearboxes and not very reliable.
