As the title suggests I'm selling a 2009 Ducati 848 for £4250 ono. The reason for the price is it's a Cat C. Fully repaired and comes with a years MOT (done on the 6th Feb 2017 - no advisories) the bike has done 16k miles and is a fairly unmolested and standard bike. It doesn't have any service books as the previous owner sent it to the insurance company but I have spoken to Ducati Manchester who originally sold and serviced the bike and confirmed it has had regular services the last being the major 15000 mile service in March 2015 including valves and belts. So it'll need new belts next month which for the asking price I'm happy to do. I'm the 3rd keeper and there is only one key. The previous owner has been spoken to and he bought it in August 2016 and then sadly he threw it down the road a couple of weeks later. The first owner had it from new for about 6 years. I've changed the oil, coolant, brake fluids and clutch fluid. Practically new tyres and rides like a dream. Couple of little bits which could do with tidying up but nothing major. I'm in no rush to get rid of it as I'm quite enjoying pottering around on her so I might put more effort into selling her in the spring when I'll be out on the 1299. Bike is in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Feel free to pop down and have a look. If you have any questions please let me know.
Cheers Bradders. If I hadn't spent so long sorting it out I'd be tempted to break it. Probably worth more in parts.
Frame has a couple of paint chips in it but is straight and true. and of cause it is cat C. I have the V5 tho. Very tempted to break it if I'm honest.
Got my eye on a shopping list of part in the states as prices are pretty good. All the frame over there are battered!
IMHO you probably won't get more. Frame on a cat C will be a few hundred quid, maybe a grand for the motor, 450 wheels, suspension 2-300, maybe 400 bodywork. And would take ages
You're probably right, plus it's a load of hassle to break it and ship it out in parts. Anyway passed her MOT this morning with flying colours, just hope the weather picks up so I can go for a play on her.
Yeah still for sale, just figured it would be rude not to have a ride or two while waiting for an interested buyer to come along.
If you do decide to break it I would be interested in the tank assuming its good. Only in Leeds so could cut out postage hassle.
