Can't even imagine what is that. Sometimes it's ok, sometimes active key should near dashboard to activate bike by pressing trigger. Results are random so I'm confused. Cr2032 - new, Yuasa - 1Y old. Connector of antenna checked and it's ok. Any bright ideas are welcome.
I once dismantled the right hand switch on my MTS because it “wouldn’t start”, only to find I’d left the key 10metres away! But I presume you’re finding it erratic when it’s near the sensor?
One of the relays controls the remote key system. Replace it with a new relay. Simple job to fit. If the contacts inside are poor, which they will be after 10 years use, response becomes patchy. Buy a genuine one, not a cheap knock off from eBay.
