1200 2011 Mts Vibration Query

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by MrACD, Jun 9, 2021.

  1. Hi All,

I've never rode a MTS before tbh (sat on one and liked the riding position), pick mine up on Saturday, something I have not really thought about is are they a vibey bike?

    It's a 1200s Touring 2011.

Last thing I want is to be doing 70/80 on a run and for it to be buzzy and put my hands to sleep.

    Thanks as always :)

  2. I ride a 2012 Multistrada 1200 and have never experienced vibration at the handle bars. I have replaced the OE bar ends with aftermarket that include a plastic bump protector and are heavier than standard. Andy

  3. Great thanks. I'll have a look out for some aftermarket bar ends.

  4. I have a 2012 S Touring and no vibes at all.
If you choose to ride low down in the revs then it will all feel a bit lumpy, but not handlebar vibes.
The earlier pre dvt bikes much prefer being up above 3k revs.
I have a 2018 enduro and much prefer the way the earlier bike makes its power, its just got more character.

I have standard bar ends, didnt feel any need to change them.
    Cheers,
    John.
