Just a quick question, i noticed that the 2012 model have a revised seat that allows you to sit slightly further back, I assume it was to combat the feeling of being pushed onto the tank like my 2011 does, So my question is does the 2012 seat fit the 2011 ?
Yes it does. If you do a search on here I posted up pictures back in around 2014. The earlier bikes have a longer metal stub sticking up on the left rear of the riders seat (was originally designed to put a helmet lock loop over, though few bikes were supplied with the loop). On the later bikes this stub is shorter, and does not protrude through the seat. This is because the front of the pillion seat is further back and would expose it. Ideally you need to swap both the rider and passenger seats over together, and either change the stub for the later version or cut it down. Hope that helps.
To be fair right up to 2014 can be fitted on bikes of 2010, albeit not perfectly. I've had four bikes of that period and all the seats fitted fine.... may be not the back one.... can't remember.
