2013 Pp Or New Dair For Same Price

Discussion in 'Newbies Hangout' started by Owen O'Neill, Mar 12, 2015.

  1. Hi All,

My first post so bear with me.

I've been offered a new 2014 D Air including the jacket for the same price as a 2013 PP with 2k miles, panniers and full termi system I'm coming from a fireblade and looking for comfort, speed and touring ability, also the "garage door" factor needs to be strong.
What would the general consensus be on which one to go for? im genuinely stumped.

    Thanks

    Owen

  2. Heart PP,head D Air.

  3. Welcome Owen, why not a 2015 multistrada?

  4. How much?

With the PP you'll be getting the red frame, black handle bars, loads of carbon and supper light wheels and whatever the previous owner spent the £1000 accessory support on.

The D'air you'll be getting ...whatever (full panniers, top box, liners for all?), heated grips (a must)...centre stand (optional on the PP).
The FULL termis (inc. remap stick) is a must, so factor in £1400+ for that

    Resale?
I think the PP will be worth more...nah...too close to call.

Ask him for a deal with the PP and full termis...SOLD!
Ask for extended warranty (3rd year) INCLUDED ON BOTH DEALS!!!

  5. Is the Dair a S skyhook model? And does the PP come with lighter wheels?

  6. Buy a Panigale what the hell who cares about comfort and tank range.

  7. Thank you for your comments so far.
I'm coming from a fireblade. My knees are shot. It's an age thing.
Both bikes are 14k and the DAir is skyhook. It's about another 3k for 2015 s touring so a big jump

I like the appeal of the DAir system and having a new bike. It's sbout 4k discount on new with a great px on mine.

    Heart says PP though.

    I'll decide over the weekend

  8. Ive gone for the new DAir as the deal was very strong and the airbag thing sort of appeals as does the shiny new bike factor. Getting it on Friday!
