Am I correct in thinking I must have an original Ducati rear part, for the front mudguard, so that I can then add an extender to that? If that’s the case, where can I get one as I can’t seem to find them anywhere? If it’s not the case and I can get an aftermarket part that does it all, I would be grateful if someone can point me in the right direction.
Yes, unless what you are looking at has some way to retain the brake line cross over. Per the first item the brake line runs in that channel and is supported by the extender. A quick search of ebay found: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/314114715285 and an expensive but complete solution. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262887862717
Man, I would love to go with the second option, but given that I have just bought the bike it is too expensive for now. The first option looks good to me and obviously it can be lengthened further with another extension if it is still too short??? For the life of me I can’t understand why this item didn’t appear when I searched, but thank you for your help messes.
Computers like me. Yeah I couldn't stomach the first option, but the second looks good and then you could stick one of those other extenders on. Otherwise it may be worth asking Ducati, it may not be much more expensive for such a small part.
If you’ve not bought one yet, I’ve one all packaged up and ready to go you can have….. https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/free-stuff-well-almost.93029/#post-2003612
My bike came with the original Ducati extender, and I added a Pyramid Extenda Fenda for extra coverage https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/19129212...jlCn7UcQOW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I did get a bit of rubbing on the tyre initially so had to fiddle with the fitting if the Ducati extender, think I had to add a couple of washers to take out some free play. Thanks for the link aero. Of course I'd love the full carbon option, one for future I reckon
