2015 Multi 1200 Screen

  1. The screen on my 2015 Multi 1200 has started rattling at low speeds and it is doing my head in.

I have seen threads that talk about using superglue and other things to fix this, but I can’t find any pics that show exactly where to place it. Knowing me, I would end up putting it somewhere it shouldn’t go and cock it up:p

Can anyone advise me how to do this fix or even better show pictures?

  2. Yes, it’s where the rod goes into the ball. You put the glue on the outer edges of the ball where it joins the screen support (not the rod) and this stops that part moving.
I don’t know what’s behind the ball but I think someone did dismantle the whole unit to try and see.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  3. I think I used a higher quality super glue which I used and it cured it

  4. Why would you use superglue, why not use Loctite thread locker?

    That’s what it’s for.

  5. It’s not a thread, it’s some sort of play in the mechanics of where the rod from the screen goes into the ball at the bottom, if you dribble glue into the crack around the ball it cures it. Years ago I went round all the Multis at my dealers and about half wobbled and the rest were fine

  6. Is there much stripping of panels needed to get at said ball?

  7. No just take the screen off, you will see the rod that goes into a plastic ball. The glue goes around the edge of the ball where it meets the plastic (plastic to plastic).
