My Favourite Moto2 bike of next year already. They do seem at pains to keep the camera away from the Triumph engine though.
I am still SO confused by this.... I just don't see how this does anything but damage MV's brand. If I worked in Triumph's marketing dept knowing that MV have built their entire product range around a triple cylinder power plant of their own, I would be having a field day with this..... I realise it's a one make class but arguably supersport is still the better platform to showcase the MV brand and if a super naked class is created in WSBK then again, invest in that.
I don't think it's Triump's tyle to go around shouting "Look at all these Hondas and MV Agustas using our engines". Everyone understands it's a one engine series and Triumph are the official supplier from next year. It would be very dissapointing if they decided to try and make hay from this and I imagine they are limited to what they can say contractually.
I agree mate totally, I just think that it falls into that 'Subversive marketing' or whatever it's called where consumers see it and then have to think about the engine thing, in the same way as if Kawasaki had of entered a frame with the Honda engine, it's just going to take some time for the idea of a Manufacturer doing it, rather than a chassis builder like Kalex/Suter. Either way, I'm looking forward to Moto2 next year Here's a random thought....... just in case it happens I'll look like Mystic Meg... What about if due to the cost of manufacturer for such a small company, MV are in actual fact considering buying in 765 engines to put in the F3 road bike like Aprilia did with the RS250, to save them having to continue to develop towards Euro 5 etc. It just strikes me that there must be a long term strategy at play here.....
