hi stupid lol its to do with getting the exhaust pipework to the correct length for engine performance , the layout of the engine and exit of pipework meant the pipework had to go that way hence why the rear shock was moved to the side to allow room for the pipework, I wouldn't do it james you will fk the motor I would have thought , it is a hot pain in the arse ,especially when your out for a potter in ya jeans etc, my mate got a full Austin system and his pipework follows the original , so does the akro so guess that's telling you something , think im right otherwise look a complete twt
Id say you're bang on Jimmy, its all about getting the correct length. If you deviated from that James you're very unlikely to get any gains at all. If anything i think you'd lose performance and worse case probably fuck the bike up..... that's a technical term
on the heat subject burning your arse does anyone know what can be done or is it as it is ? mines 1199 with the heat shield fitted,
Yeah, buy a full Titanium Akro system. That will do the job. Ti exhaust systems don't get anywhere near hot as Stainless ones. Only £4,000 is a hefty bit of dough.... I'd rather have burning legs ;-)
Try ceramic coating the manifolds. They allege a 30% reduction. But Ducati's always try to burn you. Somehow. I put heat shield stuff to the u/s of my seat. Helped too.
Yer it is, but from one eu owner it is LOUD, so suspect it isn't UK or Trackday friendly. Would be perfect if could some how match up the pipework with larger Dia silencers which kept the look close to standard or Termi/akro 1199 shape cans.
Thats what they were when first they first came out, but now the Full Ti Akro System can be had for £2700.
I just bought a full system for the Pani. The cheapest Akro I found was £3600 + delivery. I bought a full Termi instead
There are 2 on ebay. One discounted to 2660 and other is 2900. SCARICO COMPLETO EVO EVOLUTION AKRAPOVIC TITANIO DUCATI 1199 PANIGALE S‐D11E1‐T | eBay
Pretty sure you would have to pay duty on that when it comes in to the country.. Which would put another 20% on the price plus postage from Italy. Either way. That's a shit load of money for an exhaust..

Well that's handy to know.. It seem the pipes are an absolute bargain at that price then. Still £1000 more than what I eventually paid for a full Termi system ;-)
