2nd owner - extended warranty

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by kwack, Mar 11, 2014.

  1. Hi,

I am the 2nd owner of a Panigale and wanted to find out whether there is an option to extend the warranty. There is mention on the Ducati site of extending to a 3rd year for the original owner.

Does anyone know whether it is possible to do this. I would be pretty loathe to keep it otherwise as I have had a fair few warranty issues in my 12m onwership

  2. Yep I did this. I bought my 1199 when it was 10 months old from a Ducati dealer and they transferred the warranty into my name. The dealer I bought it from is quite a way from me so I asked at my local dealer about the 3rd year extended warranty and they said there would be no problem. The best thing to do is to contact your local Ducati dealer and ask them about the 3rd year which costs £280. It's pretty straight forward.

  3. Thanks - did it come with European assistance as well - want to see whether its worth paying extra on insurance for it

  4. I will be extending my warranty, you must do it before the bike is 18 months old thou.
Got it for my 848 a few years back.

  5. Great - should Ducati offer you this or is it up to you to go and find out how to do it as I didnt have any letters or owt from Ducati. If I cant renew now at month 22 then I think the bike is gonna go as I cant be assing around with new engines again

  6. I don't think Ducati mentioned it to me, I heard about it on the old ducati forum.
Ever Red its called, same cover as the 2 year warranty, except there is no breakdown cover.
