916 30k Miles On The 916

  1. Hit a nice milestone today.

Admittedly, I've personally only put on 10K of those in the four years I've had it, but what a bike it's been!

Considering all the stories of how "you can't treat a Ducati like a honda", I've pretty much treated it exactly like a Honda. Apart from the occasional user error (see my disconnected fuel line thread), it's been as dead-nuts reliable as my Accord.

Who knows, maybe the fact I use it so often is actually what it needs. If so, I will continue to toil through this most difficult task for the foreseeable future.

  2. Good times.

  3. That’s great. The fact is, they’ll do it if you look after them.

  4. That's great.
It's a shame to see 25 year old 916s with 8000 miles. They are really good looking bikes but even better to ride

  6. Though you might also consider buying some lottery tickets?

  7. They are for riding, not pieces of furniture.

    Enjoy mate.

  8. My bike was built in May '95.

I like to think it was a warm spring day, the techs assembling it were in good spirits, and that they didn't run out of the required parts halfway through.

Certainly appears I got one of the good ones.

  9. Beautiful looking bike which certainly doesn't look like it has covered 30000 miles ...... more miles more smiles.
    Nice one.
