1200 43t Rear Sprocket 525

  1. Hi,

Time to change my chain and sprocket on my 2011 MTS and was looking at going bigger on the back but noticed there are not many out there that have changes to a 43T on the rear. Also thinking of going for a 525 arranagement with same tensile strength as the 530.

A little worried it may become a bit wheelie hungry and am wondering if I should stick to 42t.

I have this set in mined that I can buy and looks like a good setup

Let me know if you can add any advise or experience in the change to bigger gearing.

    Thanks

  2. Just went up to a 42, more than happy with that on my '14

  3. There is alot of talk on the forum on this subject. Just changed mine to supersprox set up, works well & looks really good.

  4. Just received my new chain and Supersprox from bigrisk with the 42T rear, the front should be lively enough with that to keep most happy!

  5. I did read the other posts but no one mentions using a 43t and a 525 conversion.

Though also considering keeping rear at 40t and changing front to 14t as should have the same effect.

Not sure what I would gain from moving to 525 even with same tensile strength.

  6. There was a Spanish guy spoke about using 525 set up, look under supersprox about 15pages on it.

  7. I see the eBay link is from Louigi Moto which is the home of CJS and possibly one of the best Ducati tuners in the country so I'd have no concerns about the product and besides you should give them a call if you have questions as they are a helpful bunch who also have a racing team.

  9. 14T on the front is a cheaper option, running on my 10 plate and loving it.

  10. 15/40 at the rev limiter (10,700 rpm) speed for 1st gear is 106 km/h, 2nd 148 km/h, 3rd 194 km/h, 4rth 240 km/h, 5th 274 km/h, 6th 298 km/h. Rather long gearing. 15/43 as in Multistrada enduro would be ideal.
