Quick one if you get the belts changed during a 60 month service then do you have to check the valves? Asking because my bike is 5 years old now and had the belts changed but the mileage was well away from 15,000 so no checks done. My mate is saying they will have checked the valves as what’s the point in changing the belts? Not sure he’s right tbh…
No. Belts are 5 years or 18000 miles on the DVT. The Desmo service, where the valves are inspected, is at 18000 miles. No time constraints. There's a lot more to the Desmo service than just doing valves btw. Also not I've mentioned 18000 miles, not 15000 as you stated. DVT service schedules were extended over the early Multi's.
