Dear All I’ve a question regarding 50mm termis.. might be a dumb one!! Can you purchase the carbon overcover/shield for these.. I prefer the look of the carbon version that’s all.. Your help is appreciated x
For what bike and what do you mean by undercover / shield? You don't mean the end cans then? So not the exhaust?
Yes mte sorry.. the carbon slip over covers for the silencers only.. termi made some aluminium pipes for the 998s with no carbon.. me not like that x
Actually they are on this link on my 996R - not period correct for this bike as they are stamped E3 so I purchased the identical pipes without the stamp https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/996r-bins.58310/
Carbon end cans were not an original fitment even on the R (although the R might have had them in a box at the time of purchase). Andy
Agree... I've the original invoice and the (poxy) alarm, termis/ecu, headers and mono seat were all extras.
October 2002 saw the introduction of E3 marking being the code for EU regulation from Italy - so mine would have been manufactured for the latter 998 bikes.
IIRC, the 998s came with a 45mm system as standard, so for your 50mm end cans to be of any worth to @Noods, he has to have either 50mm headers or the 45/50mm link pipe. Don’t want to rain on your parade but needs to be considered. Andy
I seemed to have aquired about half a dozen sets of these in various finishes, all 50mm. Any takers? I'm trying to make some space before converting the barn to a new house this spring (when it arrives)!
